New Casa Colors

New Casa Colors.....
its been what? 20 some years since we painted the house....
Now my plants just zing against the rich red color of the walls...my sister in law said "an artist must live here!" ....he, he, he...she's right!

this is the north set of windows of my studio
and the front of my house has a beautiful moss green on the window trim....

San Diego Book Arts Workshop

Last month's San Diego Book Arts 3 day workshop was so wonderful...a great group of students and everyone was so excited to get that paint out and create content for their book structures. I think these photos show the depth of talent and creativity we had....thanks again for all of the volunteers who helped each day and to my very creative students!
and by the way...my Dad planed the wood for our book covers...thanks Dad!

and here's a link to more photos of our artists!

Pleased to announce......

I'm a happy camper this month...Two of my paintings have been selected for juried exhibitions....

And a  extra little tidbit of excitement....
the Signature American Watermedia Exhibition is a juried show in which only Signature members of Watercolor Societies can enter. You can only gain signature status by having 3 paintings accepted into national or international exhibitions held by the society.
On top of that info I found out that the juror (Steven Quiller ) needed to select a few more works for the gallery space after he made his initial selection. My second painting entered was chosen! But...rules state that only one painting per artist can be displayed....

Patting myself on the back....smile....
