Cupcake Demo

I'm finishing up a drawing class that I held at Fallbrook School of the Arts. Last week we drew cupcakes. Here's the step by step process......

 I had everyone loosen up by drawing random lines throughout the format including where the cupcake was going to be drawn.....I had a few doubters but they did it!
The cupcake was drawn using the gesture style technique.

 Note to self...buy a six pack of these so you can eat while drawing....

We used a Tombow black pen next to emphasize the value range.

I gave a lecture on color pencil techniques...
