More Postcard Series

Here's a couple more pieces from my Postcard Series- "Artichoke Heart" 8"x10" (sold) and "San Miguel Bird" 8"x8" $70.00. "San Miguel Bird" is available at our 10 North Gallery www.10north.blogspot.com located at 115 W. Grand Ave. Escondido, CA 760 480-9000. "San Miguel Bird" was part of a rooftop garden element in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, where I have traveled to many times. I taught watercolor workshops last year for Oceanside Museum of Art www.oma-online.org at a beautiful garden and a roof top restaurant in San Miguel. Central Mexico is an incredible destination for artists.

Postcard Series

Here are some of my postcard series paintings- watercolor on Masa paper adhered down to canvas. These are small pieces - each one has a canceled stamp from somewhere in the world. My works will be shown at "Art of the Holiday" at the Art Center in Fallbrook, CA http://www.fallbrookart.org/ November 10th through December 23rd and at the 10 North Gallery in Escondido, CA http://www.10north.blogspot.com/ with continuous exhibits throughout the year.

Frank in the window

Here's my kitty Frank sunning himself at my studio window. This is a transparent watercolor that I finished a couple of weeks ago.

I painted my own reality....

this was drawn with a liquid expresso pen. I added water with a brush to get some of these cool colors along with some watercolor. The black ink changes to blues and browns. Some of these images may remind you of an artist.... I was watching a movie about Frida...

I saw these funny chickens in a home in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico- I couldn't help it-I had to paint them!
